For reading The task I finished was describing Mr fox .The 4 questions I answered to describe Mr Fox was What he's good at,What he looks like,What he hates about the three farmers and what is his favourite food. Mr fox is good at smelling his favrouite food is plucked chickens and other meat. 

Just Fame It | Inquiry

This week are selling our finished photo frames for our Gala day.Our company is called Just frame it we had to make logos and names for our company.The design I had made was Christmas. Most students in our class done events in the year because most people celebrate those events.

Kiwi Sport | Doubles Tennis

LI.To play Doubles
For tennis we were doing doubles. Doubles are two teams against two other opponents in tennis. We had to use all our tennis knowledge against the other opponents. The challenges had to beat the champions twice to become a champion and then the champion goes in the line if you beat them. Every duo partner should have a turn hitting the ball who ever is the closer hits the ball. If you hit the ball out or the ball bounces twice in your square you are out and it's the next persons turn. The two duos that win challenge each other for the victory. 

Maths | Flight Measurements

LI. to use statistical and scientific methods to study the effect of wingspan and area 

on lift. For Maths we were studding about aerodynamics.We learnt what variables are as well as independent and dependent variables. We had to fly the plane 10 times and see how far the plane goes and if you find a pattern. This was also to see what the effect and launch was like for each throw.

Athletics Day 2019

For athletics day the activity's we were doing was Egg & Spoon,Lilly Pad gladiator, Shot put,Rob the nest,Sprints,Surf Lifesaver,Sponge Relay and Rest/dance station.I was in team red all teams had to get the most points and a big thanks to Mr Ogilvie for setting up Athletics Day.

LI.To respect others for their differences 
For Kiwi we were learning about respecting other differences and what are different to people and what will happen if we were the same. Everyone has there own beliefs,ideas and customs. Be careful what actions you do in other country's because if some is good a good action like thumbs up might be a bad action in other country's.  It's always good to learn other cultures, religions and customs.

Activity: Spot the difference 
For this Activity we had to get into pairs.Then we had one person had to face the other way and then the other person had to make a change and when the person had finished the person who turned around had to try find out what was the difference then we on swapping roles.

Coffee Shop | Inquiry

This week we were playing a game called coffee shop. We played the game because it linked with our inquiry for the term. In this game you can make your coffee strong or weak, black or creamy, bitter or sweet. your can also adjust the money from 5 cent to $10 dollars.

Maori

LI.To translate words and phrases into English.
For Maori we had to translate words and phrases into English. The words were to do with safety and phrases of safety like be calm Kia tau. After we had to write the English words into the box.

Kiwi Sport

LI.To learn a full serve.

For Kiwi sport we were learning how to do a full serve. A full serve is when you throw the ball up in the air and bend your elbow  and hit the ball with the racket on to the other opponents side.  Then we played doubles. We had to use skills that we learnt in other sessions like back hand and forehand.

LI.To be patient 
For Kiwi Can we were learning about how to be patient. Being patient is waiting and not throwing a tantrum because something is taking so long.To learn how to be patient we were playing some games on being patient. The first game was called snap and escape. To play this game you need to have one hand out and two fingers on your other partners hand and then the teacher has to say a word that is the one where the person escapes and catches. There were also 2 other games.

Manaiakalani Film Festival 2019

For Manaiakalani Film Festival I watched Room 13 chasing dreams from Pt England school. It was very interesting because there was different characters and it was very Interesting and entertaining.

Basic Facts Boxes

For basic facts boxes I done speed demon for multiplication and division.I got no answers wrong and my time was 6 minutes and 59 seconds. My last record was 7.44 seconds I have slowly improved on speed demon. 

SSR Selfie | Exploring the moon

For SSR Selfie I as reading a book planets. 
This book is called Exploring the moon. This book tells you about how much moons there are and information about the moon.There are 205 Moons in the solar system it also includes the dwarf planets.   

Maths | Wingspan Data

LI.To use scientific methods to study the effect of wingspan and area on lift  
For maths we had to make planes with different wingspans and a to see the difference of how far the plane goes. When we were testing our planes we found out that the bigger the wingspan the further the plane flies. We made 2 errors on 2 of the plane tests. 

Story Setting | Writing

LI.To identify parts of a narrative  
For writing we had to choose a story setting for a narrative. We had to right the story and not describe the story. Then we had to right the story again but not telling the story and describing the island.

For my task was to describe the three farmers and make a Venn Diagram.
The three farmers are different to each other  
The 3 farmers are dumb and there all enemies until fantastic Mr fox was stealing chickens strong apple cider and ducks. 

Commenting

For commenting I commented on aceins blog post.He wrote about 3 little pigs. He has made a few mistakes and the ending of the story was and the 3 pigs ate the wolf for dinner. He has made a interesting blog post 

Basic Facts Boxes

For basic facts boxes I finished speed demon on multiplication and half way through addition and subtraction. My time was 8 minutes and 56 seconds. I had got 5 questions wrong because I had rushed the questions to get a faster time.

For SSR Selfie I read a book about Pounamu Treasures. Did you know that there are over 21 types of Pounamu designs. Pounamu is green stone in Maori Pounamu is a jewellery for Maori people.

Inquiry/ I Supply, You Demand

LI.To play a business game

For inquiry we were playing a game called I supply you demand. We had to chose a company out of a hat. When the game starts everyone's balance was $ 50. Our product we were selling was cookies. We sold cookies for $5 and $ 10 . We also have to buy more products to sell. When the game was finished my group had $ 56 so I only made $ 6. 

Maths

LI: to use statistical and scientific methods to study the effect of wingspan and area 

on lift. For term 4 we are studying aerodynamics. We learnt what variables are as well as 

independent and dependent variables. Our task this week was to create 12 paper/origami planes focusing on one certain design and studying each aspect of the design and which part of the paper planes are important 

and how they affect launch and flight.A variable is a feature of an object or thing that can change between multiple types of the object/item. An independent variable is unchanged by other variables or will not be 

changed by other aspects or assets of a variable.

Figurative Language

LI. To investigate Figurative language 
For wring we had to chose famous cartoon characters or interesting people and describe them using Literal,Simile,Metaphor,Hyperbole and a personification.  The 3 people I chose to describe were Skips from regular show, Fat Albert and Meliodas from 7 deadly sins/ Anime. I described Skips as big, Fat Albert as fat and Meliodas as Strong.

LI.To learn how to do rally's

For Kiwi sport we were learning how to do small rally's and doing small backhands. 

To do a rally you have to put the Tennis ball on the net gently and let it fall on the persons side then he had to hit the ball over the net and over and over again intill someone loses. If you hit the net or other there head you lose.

LI.To learn about communication

For this kiwi Can lesson we were talking about how or why it's good to have a good To respect people. Respect goes with Communication is talking to each other in languages like sign language or on social media. Our activity was Rock,Paper,Scissors with a twist. When we beat other people we had to go down on our knees and vs other people on there knees and if you lose on your knees your out. 

Reading

LI.Attached to comprehension tasks 
For reading I made a post on Fantastic Mr Fox. The task was to make a news report on the Roald Dahl Book we are reading for the past few weeks. I decided to make a poster on Fantastic Mr Fox wanted for $ 1,900.  
In the story Mr Fox he was stealing chickens from Boggis and Beans farm So Bean hired diggers to hunt Mr fox and his family.

This week for Maori We had to get into a new group and we had to to watch the video that explain why Maori People ask where you are from they say it because there is an  understanding that is shared by Maori that everyone is linked and can be related to one another. By asking where you are from, you are looking to make connections to that person..

Legal Images

LI.To understand the difference between legal and illegal images.
For cybersmart we had to find a legal image for a poster and then explain about why it is legal.
We then also had to explain how we got the image a safe and faster way. First I clicked on insert and then clicked on image from the web and then searched up a appropriate image that is legal and your allowed to use.

For maths we are going to be making origami paper planes for maths to learn the different parts of the paper plane. My measurements were:

Figurative language

LI. To Investigate Figurative Language.
For writing we had to find out all 8 Figurative languages mean. The 7 figurative languages are Simile,Hyperbole,Understatement, Figurative & Literal,Metaphor,Important and Personification.
Simile & Important are similar but Important doesn't use Like or as and Simile uses like or as.

Roald Dahl | Research

LI.Novel Study 
For the next few weeks we are doing activities on Roald Dahl. Roald Dahl is a British Novelist that used to make books and movies. Roald Dahl unfortunately died on the 23rd of November 1990 in Oxford,United Kingdom. He died from a rare blood disease.  Roald Dahl had one of the most fun career's you could have. Roald Dahl made millions of dollars from kids and adult's movies and books.
