Adjectives

Adjectives are used to describe objects. Adjectives describe objects and people by feelings, apperanaces,conditions and many others. There are 3 types of adjectives: absolute, comparative and superlative. 

Absoulte means the orginal word, e.g. happy. 

Comparative means to compare something to another, e.g. happier. 

Superlative adjectives say that something is the highest level in a quality, e.g. happiest.

LI.To observe the Properties of sound  

Sound is created by objects and vibration. Sound has three propertys. 

One property of sound is sound can travel in all directions. This is proven by standing one meter away from the source of sound, making a noise, and recording the level of the sound.  

The second property is sound can travel around coners. This is proven by clapping from around a corner with the sound recorder on the other side. 

The third property is sound disapates when it travels. This is proven by dropping a ball near a meter recording the sound and another meter on the far side of the room. The meter on the other side of the room should record a quiter sound.

Making Art | Art

LI. To create geometric art by using masking technique.

For the past two weeks I made geomteric art using masking tape. Masking tape helps you make space between each shape and also to make your shapes straight.

Once I got paper and pastels I used masking tape to section off parts of the paper to make shapes. 

Then I finished sectioning off paper to make shapes I started colouring in one direction so I don't smug the colours. 

I then finished colouring and peeled off the tape to see my final reslut

South Pacific Beats

South pacific beats is a article about a person Rachael Hall who designed the pato. The pato is a modernised drum based from the lali. 

Rachael used a lathe to shape the body of the Pato and a milling machine to carve out the channel.

Racheal made the pato to bring pacfic music to the digital world.

I got a total of 8 out of 27. 

SSR Selfie

I read a book about the Bad Guys book for SSR Selfie. This book is one of the most books that I enjoyed and I am now obsessed with reading the whole series. This series is the first series of the bad guys. This series is about Mr wolf making his pals good again. Mr wolf sets them up by saving a kitten from bieng stuck in a tree. When they aclopished there first mission they Hated it. Then they did there last mission. They had to free 2000 dogs from the pound. After completeing that they loved saving people again. At the end they were always bad guys. 

Basic facts boxes

This week for basic facts boxes I did speed demon up to 10 on times tables. I got all of of the times table equations correct. My time was 4 minutes and 52 seconds. I think I could improve more on my time. My next time goal is going to be under 4 minutes and 50 seconds

Scanning

Scanning is a reading sratagey that you use to have a better understanding of specific information that you are looking for .

I read a book called South Pacific Beats to find out specific information on the pato. I had to decide on keywords that could help me find information about the pato. 

For an example :
What are the 2 machines that Rachael used to make the pato. 
My keywords were machines and engineering 

Then I scanned for keywords to help find the information that I was looking for. Then I read the sentence to see if there was information that I was looking for. 

Then we had to make a poster on how to scan and what scanning is with the information and keywords.

Connecting light and sound

LI. To demonstrate prior knoledge

To deminstrate our prior knoledge we had to find pitchures that makes light and sound then we had to explain how that object makes light or sound. 

Light is used to make things visble in the dark so people can see where they are going and doing. 

Sound is comes from powered objects and other objects you use like a tv. 

We had to find pitchures for things that make sound and light. Once we found something that makes light and sound we had to put it under the sound and light coulm. Then we had to explain how the objects make light or sound. 

Nouns,Propper Nouns, Pronouns

Nouns, proper nouns and pronouns all have different meanings.

Nouns are objects that have more than one version of that object. Nouns are spelt with lowercase letters becuase there is more than one object like a shovel. 

proper Nouns are unique becuase there only one version of them. Proper nouns are used with capital letters becuase they are uniuqe such as countries and names. 

Pronouns are third person names given to a person or a group. Pronouns are lowercase letters becuase they aren't unique.  For an example: him and they

Number Sentence Order

Maths problems has to be used in a special order like number sentences.

The first number of a number sentence shows the amount of indivisual objects a person has.

The second number of a number sentence tells the amount that is added or subtracted.

Number Sentences can not be changed or the whole meaning of the number sentence is changed.
