For maths we had to use maths stragies to solve equations like 82 - 44. The stratiges my group used were written algorithm, numberline, addition, subtraction, multiplcation and divison and counting backwards.
One way my group solved the question 82 - 44 was splitting up the numbers. First I explained the number I took away. 44 = 40 + 4. Then I took 4 away to make 78. after I minused 40 from the 78 to make 38. So 82 - 44 = 38.
