Day 1/Activity 2 SLJ

For the Summer learning journey we had to find places around the world that is special to your family or where they were born. For an Example: My tribe is from Ngapuhi and my famous ancestor is Hone Heke.

  1. Kia Ora Kruse,

I’m Dani, one of the blog commenters for the Kaikohekohe cluster for the Summer Learning Journey. I have heard some great things about the students at Panmure Bridge School so I thought I would jump on and check out some blog posts.

Well done for completely another Summer Learning Journey activity. Are you enjoying the Summer Learning Journey so far? I am from Northland as well! I grew up in Okaihau near Kerikeri. I learned quite a bit about your famous family member while I was at school, including how he chopped down the flagpole. Do you have any family still in North I can’t actually see your map so you will need to change the sharing settings so I ( and everyone else) can see it!

As it is the holiday period many of the Summer Learning Journey team are currently away from work and are spending some time with their friends and family. This means that you would get many encouraging comments over this time. We want you to keep blogging and we will comment on as many of your posts as we can when everyone is back at work!

    Keep the blogging up!

    Blog ya later,

    Dani

  2. Hey Kruse!
I liked the Google maps you created as it had pins of where your family grew up in.
    Blog you later!
